THE AIM OF OUR GROUP PROGRAM IS TO OFFER A BROAD RANGE OF HIGH QUALITY HEALTH RELATED EDUCATION AND SUPPRT GROUPS AND AN INTRODUCTION TO VARIOUS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY GROUPS TO AS MANY WOMEN AS POSSIBLE

Each school term, we offer a selection from the following.

YOGA - Working with your breath, yoga can enhance your happiness & bring peace and tranquility into your life.

TAI CHI -  A slow soft sequence of movements to improve mind, body and soul.

BELLY DANCING - A fun way to exercise, whilst learning the art of Belly Dancing.

RELAXATION - Relaxation is so important for mental health and wellbeing, during our relaxation class be led through some simple stretches and then our Relaxation teacher will lead you though a calming relaxation.

AFRICAN DRUMMING - Learn the rhythmic art of African drumming to revitalise your life.

WALKING - Suitable for all walking levels and a great way to meet a new friend whilst doing something to improve your health.

STOP WEIGHTING - Our Nurse and Naturopath work together to support Women who would like to lose weight, by preparing an individually tailored eating program and ongoing support to assist women to achieve their set goal.

BOOK CLUB - A great way to meet other Women in the area who like reading.  Each term a different book is decided upon, this group meet during the term to discuss the book and at the end of the term watch the latest movie version.

WOMEN'S HEALTH TALKS - This Information workshops can include discussion about any Women's Health issue - Breast care, Pap-Testing, Menopause, Looking after your Libido, Stress Management.

CONNECTIONS AND CHANGE - In these workshop we gain better understanding and learn new skills to help us communicate more effectively, explore ways to make positive changes and begin to address some of the emotional problems faced by women.  They can include:- Assertive Communication, Boundaries, Flow of Feeling, Stress Management, Better Relationships.    

GAMES AFTERNOONS - This group is a great way to learn how to play, Sudoku, Rummy-O, Chess with other Women who like to play games.

JOURNAL WRITING - Keeping a journal can be a liberating and fun way of developing creativity,  each week learn some tips to help develop techniques for better writing skills.

Our policy for our group program is based on fairness so the needs of as many women as possible are met.

  • A booking day & time is used to make sure everyone has an equal chance to book in.
  • We cannot accept bookings before the published booking date. 
  • To give everyone a chance to join a group you can only book into one ongoing group per term.
  • You can put your name down on the waiting list for one other ongoing group.
  • You can book into as many information days as you are interested in.
  • To give as many women as possible a change to attend a group, women who have attended a group for two consecutive terms are asked to go on the waiting list if they wish to attend the same group again. Women are welcome to try another group.
