The Women's Health Nurse at Blacktown Women's and Girls' Health Centre can assist women with the following reproductive health care needs:

• Breast examinations
• Contraceptive advice
• Menstrual cycle advice
• Pap tests
• Pelvic floor advice
• Post natal checks
• Pregnancy testing
• Post termination checks

As well as screening, advice, information and support, our Women's Health Nurse can help to access other heath issues and refer to the most appropriate professional either within the centre or externally.

Consultations are available by appointment only.

There is no charge for this service.

Medicare card is required for some services.

The accredited Mental Health Social Worker at Blacktown Women's and Girls' Health Centre provides a respectful and confidential counselling service for women who wish to address personal issues such as: 

• Depression
• Ánxiety disorders
• Mood disorders
• Post natal depression
• Relationship problems
• Family conflicts
• Parenting problems
• Trauma
• Childhood trauma
• Sexual assault

Also available is Non-directive pregnancy support counselling for women concerned about a current pregnancy or a pregnancy that occured in the preceding 12 months.  

A written referral letter from you doctor is required.
